Welcome to Student Affairs

The Student Affairs supports the academic missions of Southern University by providing services and resources that enrich the overall student experience and learning environment. The Office works together with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and delivers services and support to students, faculty, and academic departments.

The Office of Student Affairs offers a variety of programs and services dedicated to the intellectual, social, psychological, ethical, and professional development and wellbeing of the University students, including advising programs, orientation programs, career and internship services, co-curricular and club activities, personal and social counseling, and teaching and learning support.

The common thread that binds all the offices of Student Affairs is a commitment to provide an engaging and active learning environment that enhances the personal growth of all students, and complements Southern University’s commitment to academic excellence.

Co-Curricular Activities

Co-curricular Activities refer to learning experiences that complement, in some way, what students are learning in Southern University. The Student Affairs emphasizes on university experience through coordination. The main objectives of Student Affairs Office are to create an environment for natural participation of students in co-curricular activities, create leaders for future, and provide opportunities for community service activities. Further SA enforces enhancement of the teacher-student relationship and liaising with other universities and student bodies nationally and internationally.
