Overview

BNCC is a Para-Military Defense force and Tri-Services Organization comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It develops leadership and harnesses the potential of youth. Southern University has maintained its BNCC Army wing since 2003 under Karnaphuli Battalion III.

Platoon Commander

Mohammad Anisur Rahman, PUO of Southern University Platoon, is a faculty member of the Department of General Education and has been gazetted as a Professor Under Officer (Pre Commission Officer) of the BNCC Army Branch.

News Highlights

• BNCC Delegation to India: Cadet Sgt. Mohammed Jasim Uddin (BBA) visited India as part of a Bangladesh team. He completed All India Trekking Expedition-2013, attended multiple camps, and became the second person from Southern to visit abroad after AKM Raju Ahmed.
• Leadership Training: Concluding ceremony of BNCC leadership training held in Spring 2012. Chief Guest: MP Mahjabin Morshed. Distinguished guests from the university administration attended.
• Camp & Community: Former BNCC cadets organized an iftar party and religious discussion. Guests included Lt. Col. (Rtd.) Tapan Mitra and university professors.

Pre-Commission Training

PUO Atiqur Rahaman, Business Administration faculty, completed the Pre-Commission Training of PUOC-12 at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) from April 23 to June 15, 2017.
